We started working with Bryony when our son was almost 19 months, whilst he had never been a terrible sleeper we had definitely fallen into some bad habits we wanted to change. Getting him to sleep was always through rocking him in our arms until he was drowsy, during the night we would have to pat his back until he drifted back to sleep and more often than not we would put him in bed with us from 5.30am hoping he would fall back to sleep. Naps were disjointed and mostly in my arms after 30 minutes in his cot. It was exhausting, unpredictable and something we didn’t know how to move away from.

Our sleep training with Bryony was such an eye opener, we had tried to follow tips we read online or heard from friends but without the in depth step by step guidance we would only make a small amount of progress then be a little lost of where to go next. Chatting to Bryony before, during and after each step was so valuable and we were able to talk through the hurdles and our successes.

We were told at the start of our training that it would likely get worse before it got better, while we undid our bad habits and learnt new routines. Being told this prepared us mentally for the training so when it did get worse, we powered through with Bryony’s support rather than giving up and deciding it wasn’t working, like we had done in the past.

We never thought we would get to this point but our son now has a solid 2 hour nap in his cot and 11-12 hours sleep per night! We have noticed how much happier he is when waking up in the morning, which for us is our biggest win (and the extra sleep, of course).
